It’s part of our Sonder series, a short film project by Fallenbrokenstreet, where hats, music, and quiet storylines meet. The process is unfiltered: no setlist, no studio walls. Just Gimmy, her thoughts, and the slow rhythm of a backyard afternoon.
Writing in Real Time
Gimmy’s songwriting is famously raw — what she calls “messages to myself.” That vulnerability shines here, as melody and meaning start to form in real time.
She jots down fragments. Hums through verses. Rewinds and rethinks. It’s not polished — it’s becoming. And that’s what makes it beautiful.
This scene captures more than music. It reflects the heart of what we do: making things with meaning, designed to last.
